The lucky draw
The referee draw is done with little balls in a bag. Some say a few of the balls weigh more than others. Some clues in this case come as riddles. Four people and one whistle: one person per row, one per column. Whoever is left alone with it in the same room is the one you're looking for.
Suspects
- Amélia, the official who draws the balls: She takes the balls out of the bag with one hand. With the other, people say, she already knows what's coming.
- Bráulio, the referee who always comes up: He comes up in the draw every week. He says it's luck. He's had a lot of it.
- Carmo, the league observer: She watches the draw to make sure it's fair. She still hasn't managed to see inside the bag.
- Delfim, the small club's president: He never gets a good referee. He's had a bag made just for himself.
