In the proper place
In May 2026, the comedian opened a new show, Em Sede Própria ("In the Proper Place"), inspired by her months in court. It toured the country to full houses. One night, the clapperboard used to film the show disappeared somewhere between the audience and backstage. Nine people and a clapperboard, one per row and one per column. Nothing is handed to you on a plate: you'll need more than one hypothesis to get to the end.
Suspects
- Abílio, the box office clerk: He sold every ticket in two days. He kept the last one for himself, which is house rules.
- Bernardete, the stage assistant: She changes the props between numbers. One of the props is a judge's gown, and nobody knows where it came from.
- Custódio, the lighting technician: He focuses the lights to the millimetre. He says the lighting in court was worse.
- Dulce, the front-row spectator: She bought front-row tickets in every city. She says she's a collector.
- Evaristo, the theatre director: He sold out the house and put extra chairs in the aisle. The inspectors don't need to know.
- Fabíola, the director filming the show: She's filming the show to air on TV one day. She claps the clapperboard before every number.
- Gil, the barman: At the interval he sells gin and quotes from the show. The gin makes more money.
- Hortência, the wardrobe seamstress: She altered the prop gown three times. She says it's still loose in the shoulders.
- Ivo, the stage door keeper: He lets nobody in who isn't on the list. The clapperboard wasn't on the list and got out anyway.
