Sound check

Grand Prix morning at the racetrack. At the sound check, the duo could hear themselves clearly in the in-ear monitor and the technician swore everything was perfectly tuned. When anthem time came, nobody knew where the earpiece was. Four people and an earpiece: one person per row, one per column. Whoever is left alone with it in the same room is the one you're looking for.

Suspects

• Alcides, the sound technician: He tuned the sound three times. He says by the third it was perfect, and they wouldn't let him touch it a fourth.
• Benvinda, the production assistant: She has a clipboard with the schedule to the minute. The anthem was set for 13:47 and the earpiece for no time at all.
• Cristóvão, the bike mechanic: He only understands engines. He says an earpiece is far too small a part to hold him responsible for.
• Dalila, the grandstand hostess: She shows guests to their seats. She took one gentleman to the wrong seat and one earpiece nowhere.
