The committee behind closed doors
The inquiry into the ransacked office met behind closed doors, so nothing would leak. Two hours later everything was known outside, except where the evidence had gone. Some clues in this case come as riddles. If one stumps you, a hint will solve it. Eight people and one piece of evidence, one per row and one per column. Almost nothing is said directly: you'll have to cross everything.
Suspects
- Alcides, the committee chairman: He opened the session calling for calm. He closed it asking for a glass of water.
- Brígida, the rapporteur: She has already written the final report. Only the part about what happened is missing.
- Casimiro, the MP who called for the inquiry: He asked for the inquiry, the minutes and a break. He only got the break.
- Dorinda, the party's press officer: She announced democracy had hit ground zero. By lunchtime it was at minus two.
- Eusébio, the technician for the cameras that don't exist: He's paid to maintain cameras that were never installed. He says they're in perfect condition.
- Filomena, the lady at the MPs' bar: She's been serving lattes for thirty years. She has heard more secrets than the committee.
- Gervásio, the door guard: The door wasn't forced, he insists. He was leaning against it.
- Honorina, the parliamentary reporter: She has a source in every party. In this story they all contradict each other.
