The next festival
Since that concert, every festival has a security guard just for the microphone. At the next festival, the microphone disappeared anyway, and eight people swear they were looking the other way.
Suspects
- Aldina, the festival organiser: She's run the festival for fifteen years. This year the biggest slice of the budget went on guarding a microphone.
- Belmiro, the guest artist: His contract says nobody may touch his microphone. Not even him.
- Cristina, the music journalist: She's written about music for twenty years. Her most read piece was about a supermarket chorus.
- Duílio, the merchandise seller: He sells festival T-shirts. The ones that sold out say 'what's in the car'.
- Edmundo, the microphone's bodyguard: He was hired just to guard the microphone. He takes the job very seriously, maybe too seriously.
- Felisberto, the lighting technician: He killed the lights at the right moment. He says it was the wrong moment.
- Guida, the pork roll seller: She saw the whole festival side-on. She saw more than the people facing the stage.
- Hilda, the guest influencer: She did a three-hour live stream. Ten minutes of it are missing and nobody knows where.
