Road tests

The seized car left the police car pound for some road tests. The tests lasted two summers and took in three beaches. Some clues in this case come as riddles. Four people and one piece of evidence: one person per row, one per column. Whoever is left alone with it in the same room is the one you're looking for.

Suspects

• Ambrósio, the commander: He insists the seized car only went out for road tests. He tested it very thoroughly.
• Berenice, the lawyer: She has a legal opinion saying the car was seized 'on a mobility basis'.
• Conrado, the mechanic: He changed the seized car's oil twice. Seized, but well looked after.
• Domingos, the parking attendant: He waves cars into spaces outside the courthouse. He recognised the seized car because it tipped him.
