The Odemira building works
A holiday home, a swimming pool in a protected area and an annexe that doesn't appear on any plan. Nine people were on site the day the evidence disappeared and none of them remembers anything. Almost nothing is said directly: you'll need several hypotheses to get to the end.
Suspects
- Amândio, the builder: He built the pool, the annexe and the wall. He only invoiced for the wall.
- Bebiana, the council engineer: She approved plans for a house with a 'decorative pond'. The pond has a diving board.
- Cassiano, the next-door neighbour: He complained about the building noise. He withdrew the complaint the day he was invited for a swim.
- Dulcineia, the estate agent: She has already listed the house as 'sea view, licence pending'.
- Eusébio, the nature reserve warden: He's patrolled the protected area for twenty years and has never seen a pool. He swears he didn't see this one either.
- Fernanda, the architect: She drew three versions of the plans: one for the council, one for the client and one for when someone asks.
- Gaspar, the trailer driver: He brought the materials to the site in a trailer that, by coincidence, had also gone missing.
- Honório, the council inspector: He went to inspect the works three times. All three times he stayed for lunch.
- Idalina, the house cleaner: She cleans the house on Fridays. The pool was already full before there was a licence.
