The motion of no confidence
The minister was summoned to Parliament, the opposition tabled a motion of no confidence and the government replied with 'full confidence'. Between votes and postponed hearings, someone was left alone with the evidence somewhere in Parliament.
Suspects
- Américo, the opposition MP: He tabled the motion of no confidence and already has his speech ready for when it fails.
- Bernardina, the government's parliamentary leader: She insists the minister has 'every condition' to stay. She doesn't say which.
- Cosme, the independent MP: He always votes at the last minute, after seeing which way the majority is going.
- Domingas, the parliamentary journalist: She has already written the headline for both possible results.
- Eulália, the committee clerk: She scheduled the minister's hearing three times. All three times there were 'diary conflicts'.
- Filinto, the MP who switches sides: He has sat on three sides of the chamber. Today he hasn't decided yet.
- Gracinda, the Parliament usher: She hands out the voting papers. She knows the votes before they're counted.
- Hermenegildo, the minister's adviser: He came to say there was full confidence. He stayed to see whether it was true.
