Documents that reached us
The day before, the party had announced that the inquiry into Luís Neves would go ahead because of documents 'that reached us'. The next day, the documents were gone. The leadership held an emergency meeting and, while some discussed strategy, someone was left alone with the evidence.
Suspects
- Aurora, the crisis communications consultant: She charges by the hour to turn 'scandal' into 'smear campaign'. Tonight she's at six hours already.
- Belmiro, the party lawyer: He has a statement ready for every scenario, including three in case it turns out to be him.
- Constança, the head of internal polling: Her polls always show an absolute majority. Everyone else's show something else.
- Durval, the hardline MP: He always defends the party's hardest line, except when it suits him to change his mind.
- Evaristo, the leadership's driver: He brought the documents by car. He doesn't know where they came from, and doesn't want to.
- Fausta, the leadership's secretary: She photocopied everything twice, just in case. Nobody knows where the copies are.
- Gonçalo, the youngest MP: It was his first emergency meeting. He already has an opinion on all the next ones.
- Hermínia, the head of the archive: She has a folder for everything. For these documents she had two.
