The tidy burglar
Everything had been turned upside down, except the crucifix, which was carefully left in its place. An MP from another party couldn't resist praising the burglar for being so tidy. Place each person in their room, one per row, one per column. Whoever is left alone with the evidence is the one you're looking for.
Suspects
- Alberto, the afternoon doorman: He knows who comes in and who goes out, but swears he never notices anyone.
- Benedita, the executive secretary: She books every meeting and vanishes from the ones that really matter.
- Celeste, the party treasurer: She keeps the party's accounts with a rigour you don't always see in the party's accounts.
- Diamantino, the cook on duty: He cooks for every leadership dinner. He listens more than he cooks.
- Eduardo, the security expert hired in a hurry: Hired in a hurry to propose new cameras. He hasn't proposed any yet, but he has asked for copies of every key.
- Fabíola, the office decorator: She's the one who hung the crucifix. She says she'd recognise it with her eyes shut.
- Gaspar, the electrician on duty: He went to change a light bulb in the leader's office. It took him two hours.
- Heloísa, the MP from the party next door: She walked down the corridor by chance. Three times in one night.
