The night of the two USB sticks
Two USB sticks, documents about the parliamentary inquiry and a door nobody forced. Nine people walked the floor that night and no clue hands you anything on a plate. One person per row and per column. Whoever is left alone with the evidence is the one you're looking for, but you'll need several hypotheses to get there.
Suspects
- Arlindo, the early-bird MP: He arrived at half past six to record a video for social media. He ended up recording something else.
- Brites, the cleaner: She called the National Guard before any MP arrived. She swears she only touched the bucket.
- Cristiano, the patrol guard: He did his rounds at three and at five. At four he was, he says, doing another round.
- Dolores, the chief of staff: She has the key to every drawer and suspects everyone.
- Elias, the IT technician: He formatted two USB sticks that week. He says they were different ones.
- Filomena, the communications adviser: She wrote 'ground zero of democracy' in a draft at seven in the morning. The alarm was only raised at quarter past seven.
- Gervásio, the party's longest-serving MP: Nobody knows exactly what he does in the party, but he has a copy of every key.
- Horácio, the parliamentary group's driver: He waited in the car from six to seven. The car was in the garage; where he was, nobody knows.
- Isaura, the party intern: First day of her internship. She already knows where the photocopier is and where the USB sticks used to be.
