Wiretap week
The wiretaps went public on a Monday. On Tuesday the club's board held an emergency meeting far from any phone, and the golden whistle was no longer in the cabinet. Some clues in this case come as riddles. If one stumps you, a hint will solve it. Eight people and one whistle, one per row and one per column. Almost nothing is said directly: you'll have to cross everything.
Suspects
- Armindo, the club president: He says he never talked about fruit on the phone. On the phone he only talks about vegetables.
- Bernardo, the vice-president: He switched his phone off a week ago. Now he sends messages through the kit man.
- Carlota, the club's lawyer: She explained that coffee with milk is just coffee with milk. Nobody believed her, not even herself.
- Desidério, the retired referee: He refereed three hundred matches. He says he never received anything, apart from fruit.
- Eulália, the trophy room lady: She cleans the cabinet every day. One trophy is cleaner than the rest.
- Fidélio, the telecoms technician: He came to check the club's phones for bugs. He found four, and one was his.
- Graça, the reporter who published the wiretaps: She published the wiretaps on Monday. Since Tuesday her own phone has been making funny noises.
- Hipólito, the kit man: He washes the kit and keeps the secrets. Both always come out clean.
