The Cup final
At the Cup final, the Federation put the golden whistle in a display case for the closing ceremony. At half-time the case was open and the whistle had gone off to blow somewhere else. Some clues in this case come as riddles. If one stumps you, a hint will solve it. Nine people and one whistle, one per row and one per column. Nothing is handed to you on a plate: you'll need more than one hypothesis to get to the end.
Suspects
- Albino, the Federation president: He was going to hand over the Cup and the whistle in the same ceremony. Now he only hands over the Cup, which is heavier.
- Bruna, the box hostess: She serves the guests in the box. She says nobody asked for a whistle, but everybody asked for croquettes.
- Crisanto, the final's referee: He refereed the first half with his usual whistle. For the second he wanted the golden one, to look good in the photos.
- Doroteia, the League delegate: She wrote her match report at half-time. She already had the score, she was only missing the match.
- Evaristo, the home team's kit man: He tidied the shirts at half-time. He says he tidied nothing else, but the bag is heavier.
- Fabíola, the mixed zone reporter: She asked everyone the same question: how do you feel? Nobody felt the whistle was missing.
- Germano, the anti-doping doctor: He takes samples at half-time. He says only what belongs in his flask fits in it.
- Hermínia, the club mascot: She spends the match inside a furry animal suit. A lot fits in there, and none of it shows.
- Ivo, the groundsman: He fills the holes in the pitch at half-time. He found a hole that wasn't in the pitch.
