Frequently asked questions

What is Escândaloku?

A free logic game with 111 cases inspired by Portuguese scandals. Each case is a deduction puzzle that ends with the name of whoever was left alone with the evidence. It's available in Portuguese and English.

Is it like Murdoku?

Yes. It follows the same basic rules: one person per row and per column, clues about rooms, objects and positions, and a culprit who is left alone with the evidence. The difference is that the cases come from the Portuguese news.

How do you play?

The board is the floor plan of a building. You read the clues, put each person in a square without repeating rows or columns and, at the end, see who is alone in the same room as the evidence.

Do I need to know Portuguese politics?

No. Each case file starts with a short summary of the real story, and the characters are made up. The logic works the same whether or not you know the scandal.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

It's free and there's no sign-up. Your progress, stars and rank are saved on your device, in both languages.

Can I play on my phone and offline?

Yes. The game was designed for phones and, after your first visit, the cases open even without a connection.

Are the characters real?

No. The names and characters are made up. Only the scandals in the background made the papers.
